Marcelo "Coldzera" David is a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player coming from Brazil. He is one of the best players the world has ever seen and continues to dominate the local scene without a sweat. Every CS:GO player/enthusiast has heard of him and he’s often referred to as a "god" by the community. Not only among the fans he reigns, but also he was named as the best player of the year twice in a row by HLTV in 2016 and 2017, confirming he is, in fact, a living legend. He currently plays for the FaZe Clan CS:GO team as a rifler and an in-game leader. He has earned over $1 million and his whole CS career can be idolized as one of a truly successful athlete.

Early Life

Marcelo Augusto David was born on 31 October 1994, in São Paulo, Brazil. Colddzera’s older brother, Rafael was the one who introduced and taught him how to play CS:GO when the competitiveness of the game was heating up. Rafael's friends would constantly tease Coldzera for being bad and because of this Coldzera determined on getting better at the game to prove them wrong. Little did they know that this thirst for getting good at the game would make him a terminator in the highest competitive scene possible. Coldzera would play long sessions day and night, and this led his parents to get worried about his habits. They were hesitant to let him pursue his dream career at first but a call from the Brazilian CS:GO legend, Fallen changed history forever.

The Career of Marcelo "Coldzera" David

Him and his Brazilian team were first picked up by Luminosity Gaming in 2015. Luminosity was rising up the ranks and building a name for themselves with the help of Cold and his teammates. Though they would get knocked out at the final stages of tournaments Cold has made a name for himself with his amazing playstyle to be the best Brazilian player the world has seen. However, Luminosity went on to win a Major in the same year proving that the European powerhouses can be defeated and that Brazilian CS:GO was better than anything at the time. After a whole year later, the dominating Brazilian team was picked up SK Gaming despite all the controversies that were going around.

Under the name of SK Gaming, Coldzera and his team went on to win the second major in a row. Coldzera became the MVP of both the majors they won and proved that he is, in fact, a terminator sent to slaughter his competition. Coldzera or SK Gaming didn’t win any more majors and slowly the team was going towards its end when their performance started to drop dramatically. Cold would join Made In Brazil (MIBR) in mid-2018 and would play in the roster and out till latter 2019. Also during this time there was a trend among big organizations where they would headhunt the best in the scene to build super-teams. In September 2019, Coldzera joined FaZe Clan to be a part of their super team consisting of superstars of the scene such as Niko, Rain, etc.

Being the best player of the year in 2016 and 2017, twice in a row is enough to confirm that Coldzera is one of the best players the world has seen.
