Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut is a professional Counter Strike: Global Offensive player coming from France. He is the youngest CS:GO player to be dominating in the top level of the game’s competitive scene. He currently plays his main role as an AWPer in the French team, Team Vitality. Despite his very young age, he has proven the world that any player with the dedication can climb to the top by having it done himself. Mathieu Herbaut was born on November 9, 2000, in France. What is really amazing about Mathieu is that he was born on the same day as Counter Strike made its commercial release. ZywOo somehow got into playing CS:GO at a very top level when he was young and his birthdate and CS release date coincidence made the community around him to see him as “the chosen one”. Unlike other players, ZywOo didn’t have to work hard to reach the top but was simply a natural at being a god. He was simply born to play CS.
The Career of Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut
ZywOo first got into the real competitive CS:GO scene in 2014. He officially signed up for an esports organization called E-Corpe Bumpers in 2017 and went on to play some main leagues with them. His stay on that team only lasted for a couple of months when he left for WySix Team in the same year. During this time he really showcased how good of a player he is and even got some serious attention from some of the stars of the European leagues. However, ZywOo decided to wait until he completed his studies to make his pro debut. After waiting for a few months focusing on his studies, ZywOo was once again ready to get back in action. In 2018, the WySix roster was picked up by an organization called against All authority and this turned out to become the real start of his successful career. He furthermore showed his pure skill and potential playing for AAA and finally decided to join a top-tier org that was taking up the French pro scene at the time, Team Vitality.
French CS was the most dominating in the early years of the pro scene with powerhouses like KennyS and shox in the region. However, their reign started to decline due to roster changes and other internal issues within the teams, putting the dominant French region into a slumber. With Vitality’s acquisition of ZywOo, the dominance of the French Global Offensive league sparked up again. Within a few months, his performance and ratings skyrocketed. He was so good at the game his opponents started to look like low elo players. ZywOo became a fan favorite and his stats rose up to compete with the greatest CS player of the time, s1mple. Even simple admitted that ZywOo is absolutely great and stated that the only pro-CS player on his level was ZywOo. ZywOo went on to become the best player of the year 2019 according to HLTV.org’s rankings. He still dominates the French CS scene and his legacy continues.
